Ibex Innovation, LLC (“we”, “us”) is a 3D laser scanning and technical design firm based in Wallkill, New York. This page explains what we collect when you use our website and our 3D Scan Share viewer, why, and how to reach us about it.
Our website
Our site is hosted by Squarespace. Squarespace collects standard server logs and may set cookies for its own analytics; their policy is at squarespace.com/privacy. If you contact us through the site, we keep what you send us (your name, e-mail address and message) so we can reply, and we don’t share it with anyone else.
The 3D Scan Share viewer
When we share a laser scan with you, we send a link to our online viewer. A few things to know about those links and what the viewer records.
The links are unlisted, not password protected. Anyone who has the link can open the scan, so please treat it the way you’d treat the drawings themselves and only pass it along to people who should see the project. If you’d like a link taken down, e-mail us and we’ll remove the scan.
The viewer records that the link was opened, along with your IP address, the approximate location derived from it (city and region), the page that referred you, your browser and operating system, screen size and graphics hardware, time zone and language, and how the viewer was used during the visit (how long it stayed open, loading time and frame rate, and which photos, models, measurements and clips were used). We use this to confirm the people we share scans with can open them, to diagnose performance problems on their devices, and to protect the service from misuse. It’s stored in our Microsoft Azure account in the United States and deleted after 12 months. The viewer doesn’t use cookies and we don’t share this information with anyone outside Ibex Innovation.
Our basis for this under UK and EU data protection law is our legitimate interest in operating and improving the service. If you’re in the UK or EU you have the right to ask what we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to this processing; e-mail us and we’ll take care of it.
Children
Our services are for businesses and we don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change what we collect, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
